The Boardwalk Boutique hotel Aruba really is one of the best places to stay in Aruba! With stunning Caribbean architecture, two swimming pools and a great happy hour, it is a great place for a couples getaway, a honeymoon or just a weekend staycation! It is also situated just a stones throw away from Palm Beach, one of the best beaches in Aruba. Relaxing at the beach isn’t the only thing to do nearby either, there are lots of fun things to do in Aruba. Read to the end to see where to swim with turtles, go kayaking and where to eat near the Boardwalk Hotel.

Where is the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba?
The Boardwalk Hotel in situated just behind Palm Beach. There is a long strip of high rise hotels along Palm Beach, and the Boardwalk is a little oasis set on the street behind. Here you get the best of both worlds, as you are still walking distance to the beach, but you are in a tranquil boutique hotel. It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport to the hotel.

Is there a Pool?
There are two pools to choose from! One big main one and one smaller quieter one.

How many rooms are there at the Boardwalk?
There are currently 46 Caribbean ‘casitas’. The Boardwalk Hotel has Caribbean style accommodation – casitas. They aren’t just rooms, they are little houses equipped with everything you need. I have never felt so at home at any hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom casita and had a fridge (with goodies!), freezer (ready with ice), stove, all the kitchen utensils. There was a large sofa, a dining table, as well as a small table outside as well as a BBQ. There are a few different styles of room, suited to your party size and also your budget!

What kind of rooms are there?
All the casitas have gorgeous interiors and are perfect for a romantic getaway or even a honeymoon!
Coco Casita – This is a kind of studio vibe with a separate bathroom and a cute patio, many of which have a hammock!
Deluxe Coco Casita – These are ground floor casitas fully equipped with a kitchen, BBQ and some even have an outdoor shower, you will feel like you are in Bali! My friend @jennasilver_ stayed at the Boardwalk with her boyfriend, you will find some of her gorgeous photos below!

One Bedroom Casita – These are both ground and second floor and have a separate bedroom unlike the two above which are studio apartments.
Palapa Lodge 360 – This room does not have a kitchen or BBQ but has a very nice 360 degree view balcony! You won’t miss the sunset staying here for sure. There is also a beautiful free standing bath, room goals for sure!

Plunge Pool Casita – This Casita has everything you need and more, a beautiful private pool! Perfect for a honeymoon I would say!

Two Bedroom Casita – This Casita is great for those in a larger group, there is a King bed and two Queen beds. Wherever you choose to stay you will have the best night sleep for sure!
What are the prices for the rooms?
The prices range throughout the year depending on the high season in Aruba when everything is a lot more expensive. The cheapest time to come is April to August. High season is November to January, but of course it is nice to have a warm winter getaway! Prices below are at time of writing and can be subject to change so make sure to take a look online for the best deals!
In January room prices start at $450/ €400
In August prices can start from $300/ €250 for a casita

How to get to the beach from the Boardwalk hotel?
Once you leave the Boardwalk Hotel, turn right. Cross over the roundabout and after a few more steps you will be at the beach! It is that close! Here you will find deckchairs and umbrellas from the Boardwalk. However, the food and drinks you can order from a man on a Segway from the Marriott hotel. Palm Beach is one of the best beaches in Aruba, the water is perfection and it is a nice quiet place to sit. I would highly recommend venturing out, even though you may not want to leave the pool! Head to the beach here one day to relax but make sure to come to the pool for a Boardwalk Hotel Happy Hour… I can recommend a Margarita!

Where to eat near the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel?
You can order breakfast at the Boardwalk via the app, and this will come from Eduardos beach shack. They do great smoothie bowls, avocado on toast and the peanut butter and banana toast is also great! All delicious and healthy options. After breakfast, you can get light snacks from the Eduardos shack at the Boardwalk.
Eduardos Beach Shack
The actual Eduardos Beach shack is in fact on the beach! It is a very small place, but with an amazing menu! You will also find a little fridge with scrumptious looking protein balls. Definitely a great place for those trying to stay healthy while on holiday. Also a very instagrammable place so make sure to bring a camera and snap a photo just around the back of Eduardos beach shack where there are two cute swings.
Lola Taqueria
This was one of my favourite places to eat in Aruba! Cheap(er) and cheerful, near Palm Beach. They serve burgers and tacos and also some healthy bowls.
Top Tip: Come for TACO TUESDAY – Tacos are just $1!!!! Get there early as it will be busy! Also just before sunset the sun shines right into Lola’s and it can get quite hot so I’d say come early around 5pm or after 6:30pm.
Papillon
This is a more upscale restaurant, perfect for date night! Here you will find delicious fish, meat and scrumptious desserts. Make sure you are hungry, as you might need a 3 course meal here. For starter I would recommend the burrata it was heavenly! The service is really very good and a nice atmosphere too.
What to do near the Boardwalk?
The Boardwalk boutique hotel Aruba really is in the perfect place. Set back from the hustle and bustle, you can choose to relax in your oasis, or venture out!
Chill on Palm Beach
Palm Beach is the closest beach and, as with most Aruban beaches, home to crystal clear water and a perfect white sand beach. Grab a sun lounger, order some drinks and enjoy the sun and water. Remember to bring some suncream and a hat! I have never used Factor 50 all my life and Aruba was the place for it!
Top Tip: Remember to buy Eco Friendly and ‘Reef Safe’ suncream. The most popular suncream we saw in shops was Banana Boat which is reef safe. However, also bear in mind that everything is a lot more expensive in Aruba, so you might want to bring as much as you can from home. Remember some after sun too! If you do forget, luckily Aruba is well known for it’s aloe vera which is amazing on sun burn. Aruba Aloe is a great brand in Aruba, with amazing products for your skin!

Take a Boat Trip
There are lots of different boat trips available on Aruba. We went with De Palm Tours on a Catamaran boat trip and it was so fun! The tour was from 9am til around 1pm. We stopped about 3 times for snorkelling and also had yummy lunch. It really is such a fun day out. But bring LOADS of suncream! Getting in and out of the water all the time is a recipe for sunburn as you really don’t feel the heat on the boat. Also drinks are included and I can strongly recommend the Coconut Rum….! The music is always on and the atmosphere is super fun!
Swim with turtles at Tres Trapi
Tres Trapi is definitely the smallest sandy beach in Aruba. The main part of the beach is rocky, until you reach the three steps to the water. At the end of the steps you will find a tiny bit of sand, followed by perfect clear water. Grab your snorkel and head out to where you can see sea grass. Here if you are lucky you will see turtles. Be patient, we swam for an hour and saw three turtles.

Go Kitesurfing
For the adventurous ones – Aruba is known for its kitesurfing! There is a kite surfing school near the Boardwalk so if you fancy some serious activity then head over and try it out!
Head to Eagle Beach for some photos
Eagle Beach is home to the famous Fofoti Trees of Aruba! These make for a very instagrammable photo. The whole beach really is beautiful so it’s a great place to chill for the day and also get some nice holiday snaps!

Spend the afternoon on a Kayaking Tour
We went on a tour with Aruba Outdoor Adventures in a pedal kayak! I have never been on a pedal kayak but it essentially a pedal style kayak, so your legs do all the work. It was quite nice not having paddles and worrying about losing one. The kayak also has a steer so it is super easy to stay going in the right direction. RJ our guide was really fun and took us to some amazing snorkelling spots.
I hope you enjoyed this blog on the Boardwalk boutique hotel Aruba and that you might consider staying there on your Aruba vacation! All the rooms are just perfect and it is a truly unique and beautiful place to stay. All the staff are so lovely, and will make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Relax by one of the two pools, or Palm beach is just a few minutes walk away. For the adventurous ones, spend a an afternoon kayaking or the morning on a boat trip.

Sounds like paradise! The beach photos are breathtaking 💙 I wish I could be teleported there now 😍☀️
Lovely Aruba. I enjoy reading your blog! Nice to dream of summer on these cold mornings. Would you like to go there again?
Yes I am already planning to go back next September!
Thanks for posting this! Just booked a stay at the boardwalk. Would you recommend renting a car?
Hey Dana! Yes I would say a car is useful because it can be quite hot to wander around and makes it super easy to get around the island with a car and beach stuff for the day!
